ETV in the Operational Programs

On 20 May, 2021 the National Society of Conservationists organised an online forum to present the findings of the GINOP (Economic Development and Innovation) Plus Operational Program and Environmental Assessment report. The Operational Programs are the basis for the implementation of the Directive 2001/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 June 2001 on the assessment of the effects of certain plans and programmes on the environment in Hungary.

During her presentation, Katalin Herner, executive director of KÖVET Association touched upon the importance of ETV for SMEs to verify their technologies. For the development of SMEs she suggested ETV to be an indicator, like EMAS, SDG and carbon footprint. ETV is now included in the Assessment report. The whole program and assessment is coordinated by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology who are responsible for innovations in Hungary.
